Your Private Data and the CTCC

What do we mean by ‘Personal Data’?
Personal data or personal information for us means all the details which identifies you or could be used to identify you. Please see the personal data we may collect from you set out as below:

  • Name, email address, phone number and job title
  • Details about your business including; company name, business sector, company address, company website address and company postcode.
  • Personal and business data you provide when you connect with us, including by email, post and phone or through social media, such as your name, username and contact details.
  • Details of emails and other digital communications we send to you that you open, including any links in them that you click on.
  • Information about your browsing behaviour on our website, when you click on one of our adverts, including those shown on other organisations’ websites.
  • Information about the way you access our digital services, including operating system, IP address, online identifiers and browser details.
What do we use your ‘Personal Data’ for?
The main purposes for which we use your personal information are:

  1. To contact you directly by post, email or telephone call regarding the CTCC and your membership with us.
  2. We need to process your personal data so that we can enrol you as a member of the CTCC.
  3. We also work with carefully selected suppliers that carry out certain functions on our behalf such as suppliers of IT services, storing and combining data, marketing, advertising campaign, market research, processing payments and delivering products and services.
  4. To provide services tailored to your requirements and to treat you in a more personal way.

Personal Information Sent outside of the UK and EU
In order to process your CTCC membership, it is necessary for us to send your personal and business data outside of the EU to North Cyprus. We may also send your data outside of the UK and EU for storage purposes via a third party. We will take all reasonable precautions to ensure that your personal data is safe and secure.
Data Retention
Your information will be kept for as long as we need it for the purpose it is being processed for. We will keep the information for the period that you are an active member of the CTCC, as well as for the period which enables us to handle or respond to any correspondence. The information may also be retained so that we can continue to improve your experience with us and to ensure that you receive any membership rewards which are due to you.

Your information will actively be reviewed and deleted, when there is no longer a legal, business or customer need for it to be retained. However, if the data is needed after this period for analytical, historical or other legitimate business purposes, we will take appropriate measures to anonymise this data.

This website has links to other organisations’ websites which have their own privacy notices. We do not accept any responsibility or liability for websites of other organisations and you must read their own privacy and cookie policies. Our website’s social media features such as Facebook and YouTube also have their own privacy notices which you should read if you have any concerns.
Legal Basis for Processing
Our legal basis for processing your personal data is as follows:

  • Your personal and business information is needed to process your membership with the CTCC and otherwise perform the contract we have with you.

Access To Your Data
If you would like to request a copy of the data we hold about you or your business, please send an enquiry in writing with the following information included to the address below:

  • Details of your request.
  • Any details which may help us locate the information which is the subject of your request for example, CTCC website page.
  • A photocopy of your passport or driving licence, so that we can verify your identity.
  • Your signature and the date of the request.
  • If you are applying on behalf of another person or on behalf of your employer then signed authority from the individual is required.
