Discussing 3 Vital Requests with N. Cyprus Prime Minister Mr. Ünal Üstel at the Hyatt Regency London

We had the pleasure of hosting our Prime Minister, Mr. Ünal Üstel, in London at the Hyatt Regency London – The Churchill Hotel 🔊 As the UK-Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Commerce, we touched on the following important points during this special evening: We expressed our gratitude for the contributions of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the President of the Republic of Turkey, to the TRNC (Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus). We emphasised the contribution of 300,000 Turkish Cypriots living in the UK and our businessmen to the economy, amounting to 7 billion pounds. We highlighted the significance of Ahmet Durmuş becoming the Mayor of Bexley with the population of 260,000 people for the Turkish Cypriots’ role in society. We mentioned our goal of getting two Turkish Cypriot MPs elected to the UK Parliament.

We are so delighted to meet The Right Honourable MP Liz Truss, the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs at a dinner organised by The Right Honourable MP, the former Conservative Leader, Sir Ian Duncan Smith. In July 2019, The Rt Hon Liz Truss become the Secretary of State for International Trade and President of the Board of Trade. As International Trade Secretary, The Rt Hon. Liz Truss successfully was charged with securing new trade deals and partnership across the world for UK. We sincerely trust that The Rt Hon. Liz Truss confidently will make a great difference while she will engage the Foreign affairs of Great Britain! CTCC at the annual Turkish Airlines Ramadan event 2019

The Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Commerce were proud to attend the Turkish Airlines annual Ramadan feast at the luxury Merit Royal Premium Hotel in Kyrenia, North Cyprus on 17th May 2019. Addressing the attendees of the event, which exceeded 200 in numbers, the TA Cyprus Manager Resul Baş said, “we are thankful to all our agents for their hard work and we hope to continue working in the same vein of cooperation in the future”.

CTCC Tek Bir Kibris Türk Kültür Festivali Yapilmasi Için Çağrida Bulundu

İngiltere Kıbrıs Türk Ticaret Odası olarak, İngiltere’de geçen yıl düzenlenen iki Festivalin, bir çatı altında yapılması girişimlerinde bulunduk. Bu doğrultuda, İngiltere’de yaşayan tüm Kıbrıslı Türklerin Kültür Festivalinin bir Tek Festival olarak yapılması için geçen yılki iki Festival organizatörleri ile hem ayrı ayrı, hem de hep birlikte bir ortak görüşme yaptık. İngiltere’de herkesin kafasını karıştıran ve hiçbir mantığa hizmet etmeyen iki festivalin ayrı organize edilmesinin doğru olmadığı noktasında tam bir mutabakat sağlanmıştır.

Hedef Adaya Direkt Uçuş

İngiltere’de KKTC’ye Charter Direkt Uçak Seferleri İmza kampanyasına destek yemeği gerçekleştirildi. İngiltere Kıbrıs Türk Ticaret Odası Başkanı Muhammet Yaşarata, KKTC’ye Charter Direkt Uçak Seferleri İmza kampanyasına destek toplantısı düzenledi. Londra kent merkezindeki Hyatt Regency The Churchill Hotel’te 18 Haziran Pazartesi düzenlenen yemekli toplantıya, Kıbrıs Türk Ticaret Odası Başkanı Turgay Deniz, Kıbrıs Türk Sanayi Odası Başkanı Candan Avunduk, İngiltere Kıbrıs Türk Dernekleri Konseyi Başkanı Leyla Kemal, iş dünyası temsilcileri ve gazeteciler katıldı. İngiltere ve KKTC’deki Kıbrıslı Türk iş adamları İngiltere’den KKTC’ye doğrudan charter uçuşlar için başlatılan mücadelenin yol haritasını belirlemek ve ekonomik girişimler için görüş ve önerilerini birlikte tartıştı.

Meclis Önergesi imzaya açıldı

İngiliz Parlementosunda Milletvekili olan Rt. Hon Iain Duncan Smith’in İngiliz Parlementosuna verdiği İngiltere’den Kuzey Kıbrıs’a Direk Charter Seferlerin başlaması konusundaki ‘Meclis Önergesi’ festivalde imzaya açıldı. İngiltere Kıbrıs Türk Ticaret Odası (CTCC), Kıbrıs Türk Ticaret Odası (KTTO), İngiltere Kıbrıs Türk Dernekleri Konseyi ve Kıbrıs Türk Sanayi Odası önderliğinde, 17 Haziran 2018’de İngiltere’de düzenlenen festivalde, İngiltere Konservatif Parti’nin önceki liderlerinden ve 1992 yılından beri de İngiliz Parlementosunda Milletvekili olan Rt. Hon Iain Duncan Smith’in İngiliz Parlementosuna verdiği İngiltere’den Kuzey Kıbrıs’a Direk Çharter Seferlerin başlaması konusundaki ‘Meclis Önergesi’ imzaya açıldı.

TRNC UK Chambers Sign Protocol

CTCC and KTTO Sign Protocol Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Commerce (CTCC) and UK Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Commerce (TCCoC) sign a business protocol of cooperation. Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Commerce (CTCC) and UK Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Commerce (TCCoC) have signed a business protocol of cooperation. The terms of the agreement call for both chambers to, among other things, seek to elevate cooperation between the two chambers to the highest degree, improve their dialogue, establish economic and social connections between their members, and increase the volume of cooperative work between their members.

National Minimum Wage

Dear member You should be aware of new legislation that has come into effect from 1 October 2007 regarding the national minimum wage and also the minimum annual holiday entitlement, which has increased from 4 weeks (20 days for those working a 5 day week) to 4.8 weeks (24 days). On 1 April 2009 there will be a further increase to 28 days. It is important to remember that the new minimum annual leave entitlements, 24 days from 1 October 2007 and 28 days from 1 April 2009, include bank holidays. This means that any employer who already gives 20 days leave plus bank holidays will not be affected by the changes.
